01Foundation
Parrish began practicing law in 2007 at the Utah Division of Securities, where he developed a foundation in securities enforcement, complex financial matters, and investigative work. He also worked as a prosecutor. That experience remains part of his analytical background, but his practice evolved substantially beyond enforcement.
02Sophisticated Private Practice
At Prince, Yeates & Geldzahler and Ray Quinney & Nebeker, Parrish handled complex commercial and securities litigation, federal equity receiverships, FINRA matters, corporate and regulatory issues, and significant business disputes. He represented parties in matters requiring a command of complicated facts, financial relationships, regulatory frameworks, and litigation strategy.
This work developed the rigor of sophisticated outside counsel: identify the decisive issue, master the record, clarify the risk, and give the client a defensible path forward.
03Senior In-House Leadership
Parrish served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at NorthStar Home. From 2022 to 2023, he served as Deputy General Counsel at C.R. England, overseeing all labor and employment matters. At LGCY Power, he served as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, advising leadership on transactions, capital and financing, governance, commercial contracts, employment, compliance, litigation, and operational risk.
These roles required working directly with executives, managers, and operational personnel to implement legal advice across the enterprise. That responsibility informs his approach to outside counsel: understand how the business operates, identify the legal work needed, and help the people responsible carry it through.
Parrish has also served as a board member of two Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) firms, adding a board-level perspective on governance, oversight, and regulatory obligations.
04Intelligys Legal
Intelligys brings together outside general counsel, commercial litigation, and transactional services for businesses, owners, executives, and boards. The firm’s Business First Legal Solutions model draws on Parrish’s private-practice experience and responsibility for legal and compliance functions inside operating companies.
Parrish begins with the client’s business objective, develops the legal strategy, and works with management and operational personnel to implement it. The engagement can extend from evaluating a decision to deploying the agreements, processes, transactions, or litigation strategy needed to carry it out.
